Davis disembarked at Liverpool UK with the Australian Army Medical Corps (AAMC), Sea Transport Section 11.8.1918. He marched in to the AMC Training Depot at Fovant 13.8.1918. Almost a fortnight later he marched in to the No. 2 Coy. Depot at Weymouth 25.8.1918. Davis worked on Transport Duty with the soldiers returning to Australia 10.11.1918
Embarked for Australia per ‘Arawa’ with Sea Transport Corps, Transport Duty Class A.
Returned/Disembarked 10.11.1918.
Discharged 9.12.1918.
Final Rank Private, Sea Transport Corps.
Medical Condition Poor vision with headaches exacerbated by duty.
Awards and Medals British War Medal, Victory Medal.

Notes Davis was not eligible for the Victory Medal as he was not engaged in the front line but served on Sea Transport.  He had earlier lived at ‘Wootacarra’ Victoria St. Guildford. WA (Legis. Council Rolls 1914). Davis was one of 5 brothers to serve in WW1.  His brothers included Walter Herbert Davis, Reginald Davis, Frederick Charles Davis and  brother in law Leslie Charles Longson.  Walter, Reginald and Frederick died in active service in Europe.
