Knight disembarked Suez 12.12 1917, he entrained to  Alexandria , joined the  British Expeditionary Force (BEF) and embarked for the England via Italy 18.12.1917. He disembarked at  Taranto, Italy 18.12.1917, before proceeding on to England. Knight disembarked with his Unit at Southampton 5.1.1918 and marched in to Heytesbury for Training. He proceeded overseas to France 1.4.1918 and marched into Base Depot at Rouelles 2.4.1918. Knight was taken on strength (TOS) with the 1st Division Ammunition Column 11.4.1918. He fought at the Battle of Hazebrouck 12.4.1918. He was detached to 2nd Field Artillery Brigade (FAB) 11.9.1918. Knight rejoined his Unit 3.10.1918. He was appointed Driver under the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) 25.10.1918. Following Armistice, Knight was granted leave to study the Wool industry-shearing at Bradford Technical College 1.4.1919- 28.7.1919. On completion of his studies he embarked for Australia.
Embarked England per HT ‘Plassy’ for Australia 5.9.1919.
Returned/Disembarked 17.10.1919.
Discharged 17.11.1919.
Final Rank Driver, 1st Division Ammunition Column.
Medical Condition NK.
Notes Knight's brother Lieut. Edward Nathan Knight also served in WW1and returned. Knight and his brother were both born in Guildford at 'Bebo Moro,' 224 Swan Street, Guildford, WA.
